Skip the potions and harsh chemicals.
Avoid chemical cleaners, solvents, or abrasive scrubbing. These can dull the metal finish and are a little too aggressive for stained glass.
A light dusting is usually all it needs.
Use a soft cotton or microfiber cloth to gently wipe away pixie dust or fingerprints. Stained glass is fairly low-maintenance—no heroic cleaning quests required.
For a deeper clean.
If your piece needs a little extra attention, use warm water with a drop of mild dish soap and gently clean with a soft cloth or a soft-bristled brush (a retired toothbrush works perfectly). Dry the piece immediately with a clean cloth.
Restore the shine.
If you'd like to refresh the protective finish, you can apply a light coat of Pledge then buff gently with a soft cloth.
Treat it kindly and your glass will continue painting the room with color every time the sun stops by to visit.
Stained glass magic comes from a dash of old-world materials. Most pieces are assembled using traditional lead solder (unless stated otherwise). Lead is safe on a finished piece but should never be inhaled or ingested.
After handling stained glass, please wash your hands. A quick scrub keeps the magic in the glass where it belongs- and out of your sandwich.
